Mavs Sweep Wolves in Game 3, One Win Away from Western Conference Finals
Home Team Dominates in Decisive Victory
Mavs one step closer to Western Conference Finals after a decisive Game 3 win at home.
The Dallas Mavericks took a commanding 3-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night, defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-107 in Game 3 at the American Airlines Center. The Mavs dominated the game from start to finish, leading by as many as 23 points in the second half. Luka Dončić led the way for Dallas with 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Tim Hardaway Jr. added 22 points and Jalen Brunson chipped in with 18 points.
The Timberwolves were led by Karl-Anthony Towns, who had 31 points and 12 rebounds. Anthony Edwards added 22 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Mavs' hot shooting and stingy defense. Dallas shot 50.6% from the field, including 42.9% from three-point range, while Minnesota shot just 41.1% from the field and 30.3% from three-point range.
The Mavs will now have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Tuesday night at home. If they win, they will advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2011.
